| As a follow-up to the survey that was administered in the Spring, Janet shared some maps of the literacy network. The map is one tool to help networks improve information flow, increase communication, support leadership, and encourage innovation and learning. Community Foundation is interested in social network mapping as a way to learn how nonprofit organizations and public agencies work together. This year, Community Foundation will map five networks: youth development, literacy, environment, 2-1-1, and social services in Greenfield.
Examples of maps were shared, for example, respondents by primary area of literacy, geography, and interest in working on policy issues. | Janet will invite the Network to a follow-up meeting to discuss priority areas and potential next steps. | 2

Kristen, Thank you for contacting potential speakers. We appreciate your time and efforts!
Thanks for sharing the minutes of yesterday's meeting in this manner. I wished I could have attended, but the new school year has started. I shared the Literacy Week information at my new site, University Park in Salinas.
